The Gig Pack is a scooter backpack for the daily use, Its portability allows it to be used whenever needed. Unlike conventional folding bikes and scooters it can be carried on the back, allowing the user to have both hands free. This also makes it more convenient when getting on the bus or a subway train. Perfect for college students, people who live in big cities and users of public transportation. A great way to avoid traffic and a greener way to move.

Its a innovative product because it is different from its similars that are already available in the market and it is much more practical and efficient than them. Currently the portable transports as the folding bicycles works great as transportation, but its portability is not that good, whats so great about a folding bike and having a big heavy load on your hand?

It is practical and works well in both situations as a backpack and as a scooter. There are already luggages with a scooter attached to it, but they all have very small and fragile wheels that can only roll on flat and smooth floors like the ones found in a airport and they dont have shoulder straps so they cant be carried on your back as a backpack. Also most of these bags dont have a good drive-ability because their design consists of two front wheels and a rear one, a fact that makes them quite uncomfortable to ride and awkward to control.

A product that fits the currently demands of alternative and greener transportation. The backpack can be detached from the structure for its cleaning. This also makes that the bag can be easily changed, allowing the development of different colors and models without requiring the production of another structure. The aluminum structure can be easily recycled at the end of product life. Just the rear part is embedded this way you still have plenty of room to carry whatever you want. Because its carried as a backpack the weight is distributed evenly over the users body, something that doesnt happen when grabbing a load with your hands, this way it makes it easier to be transported then a regular scooter or a folding bicycle.

If I’m not mistaken, when folded up, the wooden platform is against your back… not very comfortable. Other than that, very nice design.

I would love to have this when I hop on an airplane for a short weekend visit to any of European cities. I hope it will hit mass production and the product size would be a carry on baggage size!

    Just love the idea!!

Everybody needs a back pack, to have one with such a awesomeness about it, priceless. I would love to be able to wave at those people getting lifts on a golf cart at an airport as i pass them by. My only concern is how many tickets i will be getting from the police as i Zoom down the street to work past the speed camera. Cant wait to have one, cant wait to ride and wear one.

  13. Considering the distances you might need to walk when in airports it just looks as a perfect and comfortable solution. I would definitely have one of those. Not mentioning the fun involved in it. Got my vote.

This is not bad. But it goes beyond the concept of the bag. This is the scooter with a bag.
